More individual recognition rolled in on Wednesday for a pair of outfielders who helped make the 2016 college baseball season a memorable one in the Beehive State.
BYU's Keaton Kringlen and Utah's DaShawn Keirsey, Jr. were named Louisville Slugger Freshman All-Americans after exceptional starts to their collegiate careers.
Kringlen, who prepped at Canyon View High School, adds this honor to his West Coast Conference Freshman of the Year award. The Cedar City native finished the year with a .369 batting average, five home runs and 34 RBI.
The Cougars went 37-17 on the season.
