LEXINGTON, Ky. — The No. 13-seeded BYU women's volleyball team made a tough exit out of the NCAA Tournament with a straight set loss to No. 4-seed Nebraska (26-24, 25-17, 25-23) in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday.
The Cougars dug holes for themselves in each of the three sets played and proved unable to overcome the large deficits incurred.
“Congrats to Nebraska on a great played match by them and advancing," said BYU coach Heather Olmstead, adding that she, "Couldn’t be more proud of (her team) and their fight.
