BYU women's track and field team move up five spots in national rankings

PROVO — The BYU women’s track and field team moved up five spots to No. 19 and the men’s track and field program secured another week at the number four spot in the most recent U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national rankings on Monday.

The women’s team moved up five spots after competing at the Sun Angel Classic last weekend. Notable performances included Erica Birk-Jarvis’ No. 3 BYU all-time mark and personal best (4:13.57) in the 1500m and Lauren Ellsworth’s No. 4 spot on the BYU all-time list after running a career-best 2:02.
