BYU Women’s Soccer has relied on late-game heroics to earn points in both of their regular-season games so far.
On Monday night at Nebraska, the Cougars scored two goals in the final 14 minutes of regulation to escape with a 2-2 tie. That follows a golden-goal 1-0 win in overtime on Friday at Cal State Fullerton.
Unlike Friday’s game though, BYU wasn’t ball-dominant against the Huskers. Nebraska set the tone early with a goal by Faith Carter less than four minutes into the game. They followed that up with another goal just before the half by Savannah Uveges.
