PROVO — To be the best, you have to beat the best.
The No. 10-ranked yet unseeded BYU women's soccer team (16-2-2) will have a tough test on Thursday, traveling to take on No. 1-seeded Stanford (17-2-1) in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Cougars worked their way past Utah Valley 1-0 last Saturday to advance to the second round.
Although the Wolverines provided a big test last week, BYU coach Jennifer Rockwood knows it's likely to get tougher against the Cardinal this week. Despite the challenge, her players are excited about the opportunity.
"It’s obviously a huge game for us," Rockwood said.
