Las Vegas • The BYU women's basketball team will have to get an at-large bid to get into the NCAA Tournament next week.
In a mild upset, San Francisco defeated the Cougars 70-68 in the West Coast Conference championship game on Tuesday afternoon at Orleans Arena.
USF's Zhane Dikes made the game-winning free throws with 17 seconds remaining and the Cougars couldn't score on their final two possessions.
Dikes' free throws gave sixth-seeded USF its first lead of the game.
Lexi Rydalch became the all-time leading scorer in WCC basketball history in the game, but fouled out with 49 seconds remaining and was not on the floor at the end of the upset.
