For a few weeks now, rumors have swirled that BYU wide receivers coach Guy Holliday would take the same position at the rival University of Utah after the Utes chose not to retain Taylor Stubblefield.
The chatter intensified on Twitter Tuesday night, and Wednesday morning, Sports Illustrated's Thayer Evans reported Holliday will take the job at Utah.
Later Wednesday morning, Utah Athletics formally announced the hiring among two other coaching changes.
Fred Whittingham Jr., the brother of Utes head coach Kyle Whittingham and the program's director of player personnel for the past four years, will become the team's tight ends coach.
