Another day, another sweep over a ranked team for the Men’s Volleyball team.
BYU swept 14th-ranked Ball State (25-17, 25-20, 25-18) at the Smith Fieldhouse on Saturday night.
The Cougars struggled early in the first set, going down 3-0 before easing into the game. Once the Cougars got going, however, they were hard to stop. BYU dominated the Cardinal on the net, recording 5.5 blocks in the first set. BYU extended a lead to 20-12, but the Cardinal went on a 5-0 run to make things interesting. BYU would respond with a 5-0 run of their own, capped off with a set point ace to win the first set by a score of 25-17.
