No. 3 BYU men’s volleyball returns home this week to begin postseason play, hosting No. 9 Stanford in the quarterfinals of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament.
The Cougars (23-3, 16-2 MPSF) split the MPSF regular-season title with Long Beach State but are the No. 2 seed in the tournament due to the tiebreaker scenario. The Cardinal (13-12, 8-10 MPSF) are the No. 7 seed. Should BYU advance, the team would play either No. 3 Hawai’i or No. 6 Pepperdine next Thursday, April 20, in Long Beach. However, if the 49ers fail to win in the quarterfinals, the Cougars would host the remaining rounds.
