Seventh-ranked BYU Men’s Volleyball lost its third consecutive match on Wednesday night, falling to fifth-ranked MPSF foe Pepperdine in straight sets in Malibu (25-17, 25-19, 25-18).
The Cougars won the first point of the first set, but the Waves went on a 7-0 run and the Cougars never got back within reach in the set. The Cougars struggled with the Waves’ service, and the Waves recorded four aces in the first set alone, contributing to the large gap. The Cougars had one ace in the set and two service errors.
The Cougars opened the second set by winning the first two sets, but allowed the Waves a 7-3 run, and the Cougars could not recover.
