PROVO — The BYU women's volleyball team swept UNLV 25-23, 25-21 and 25-12 in the Smith Fieldhouse on Saturday to advance to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament for a fifth-straight season.
Veronic Jones-Perry led the 13th-seeded Cougars with 16 kills. Senior Amy Boswell added 14 kills while Mary Lake led the Cougars with 23 digs. Setter Alohi Robins-Hardy had 46 assists, 12 digs and a kill that helped put the Rebels away.
BYU (29-3) will face No. 4-seeded Texas in the round of 16.
