BYU volleyball: Cougars ranked No. 13 in preseason poll

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) ranked BYU women’s volleyball No. 13 in the nation in the preseason coaches’ poll, released Wednesday.

BYU finished the 2015 season ranked No. 11 after reaching the regional semifinals of the NCAA tournament for a fourth-consecutive season. The Cougars finished with a 28-4 overall record as well as a second-straight West Coast Conference title after going 16-2 in league play.

With 806 points, BYU is one of two WCC teams in the preseason top 25. Loyola Marymount is ranked No. 21, while San Diego received votes in the poll, sitting just outside the top 25 with 113 points.
