State College, Pa. • BYU's dream of winning the school's first national championship since 2004 was buried on Saturday night by a hard-serving Ohio State team playing with a chip on its shoulder.
The third-seeded Buckeyes swept the No. 1-seeded Cougars 3-0 in the NCAA Men's Division I-II championship match at Rec Hall on the Penn State campus.
The scores were 32-30, 25-23 and 25-17 as the Buckeyes won their second national title, having also won it all in 2011.
Ohio State fought off seven set points to take the first set, then got a huge break in the second set to come from three points down and win that one.
