For the third time in four years, the BYU men's volleyball team is headed to the NCAA tournament. This time, the Cougars will do so as the top seed.
BYU learned Sunday morning that it will be the No. 1 seed in this year's national tournament, held May 3-7 in University Park, Pennsylvania, and has earned a bye to the semifinals.
The NCAA tournament field also includes No. 2 seed UCLA, No. 3 Ohio State, No. 4 Long Beach State, No. 5 Erskine and No. 6 George Mason.
The Cougars won their third Mountain Pacific Sports Federation tournament title in the past four years on Saturday, defeating UCLA in four sets to earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
