The BYU athletic department announced Wednesday that the Cougars will not play rival Utah in men's basketball during the 2016-17 season.
According to BYU, Ute coach Larry Krystkowiak told Cougar coach Dave Rose the game, which was contracted to be played in the Marriott Center, will not happen.
“I disagree with the decision,” Rose said in a news release.
