Freshman Jaslyn Gardner broke a 22-year old school record in the 100-meter at the Robison Invitational on Friday.
Gardner clocked 11.38 to set a new school record in the 100-meter. The time broke Windy Jorgensen’s former school record of 11.44 set in 1997. Following her 100-meter dash, Gardner also ran a 23.50 in the 200-meter prelims for the No. 3 fastest time in BYU history. Gardner earned regional-qualifying marks from today’s performances.
Jefferson Jarvis solidified his position for regionals with a career-best mark of 18.62m/61-01 in the shot put to finish first overall.
