Provo * Fourth-seeded BYU and fifth-seeded Texas will battle at 6 p.m. MST Saturday night in an NCAA Women’s Volleyball regional final after the Cougars rolled past Florida 3-1 and the Longhorns dropped Michigan 3-1 Friday at BYU’s Smith Fieldhouse in Round of 16 matches.
The Cougars improved to 30-1 with the come-from-behind win after Florida (26-7) won the opening set. BYU won by scores of 23-25, 25-13, 25-17 and 25-19 in front of a sellout crowd of 5,104, the third-largest crowd to watch women’s volleyball in arena history.
The winner of Saturday’s match moves on to the Final Four next week in Minneapolis, Minn.
