Eight members of BYU women's tennis finished play at the USTA/ITA Regional Championships held at the University of New Mexico on Saturday.
"I'm happy with the way we performed in this tournament," BYU head coach Lauren Jones-Spencer said. "We had a lot of good matches and we played some of our best tennis of the fall here, which is what we were aiming to do."
Senior Savannah Ware and freshman Samantha Smith reached the semifinal of the doubles draw but fell to UTEP’s Vivian Kulicke and Milou Pietersz, 8-6.
The Cougars also saw success in the doubles draw from two other duos.
