The BYU women’s tennis team completed its first day on Friday at the Metroplex Mania with one doubles win and two singles wins.
“Good first day in Dallas,” BYU women’s tennis head coach Holly Parkinson Hasler said. “The girls are working through some rustiness after a long break. We won a few and learned a lot. Tomorrow is guaranteed to be better as we go into matches focusing on what we can control.”
Madeline Almeida won both her singles and doubles matches on the first day. She and Polina Malykh took a commanding win in third flight doubles over Eirene Granville and Madi Moore from NAU, 6-2.
