In its fourth-straight win this 2016 season, the BYU men's tennis team defeated in-state rival Weber State, 7-0, at home on Friday evening.
"I'm proud of our guys," BYU head coach Brad Pearce said. "It was a great effort. Coming back from Hawai'i on an overnight flight Tuesday took a toll on the guys because it was a quick turnaround to a Friday match. Our guys responded well physically and did what they had to do to win."
BYU (4-0) got things going early on by winning the doubles point. John Pearce and Jacob Sullivan defeated Weber State's (0-1) Landon Barlow and Hou-En Chen, 6-3, to win the first match of the night for the Cougars.
