The BYU women’s tennis team finished three days of matches at the Metroplex Mania on Monday with 10 wins between singles and doubles.
“Southern Methodist was too strong today,” BYU head coach Holly Parkinson Hasler said. “However, they beat us; we did not beat ourselves. Though the girls felt defeated, every player on our team played their best tennis of the trip today.”
During the weekend, Madeline Almeida and Polina Malykh went undefeated in third flight doubles (3-0), while Almeida also maintained an undefeated status in fourth flight singles (3-0). Malykh and Almeida claimed a tight match, 7-6, on the third day of matches against Southern Methodist’s Tiffany Hollebeck and Avery Aude.
