The BYU women’s 200 medley relay team and the men's 800 freestyle relay team each took fifth place in the opening events of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships on Wednesday.
“As for this evening, I felt like our women’s team did a pretty good job,” head swim coach John Brooks said. “The men’s team had a rough start with a disqualification in the relay. Hopefully we can keep improving and be ready for the big races tomorrow.”
The women’s 200 medley relay team, consisting of Ashlee Spindler as lead, Anna Dahl, Tiare Coker and Natalie Bennion as anchor, completed the race in 1:41.
