BYU softball: Jensen named Louisville Slugger/NFCA National Player of the Week

Freshman Rylee Jensen was named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA National Player of the Week on Tuesday after leading No. 20 BYU softball to four run-rule wins last week.

After picking up her second West Coast Conference Player of the Week nod, Jensen won the first national weekly award of the year by any player on the team.

Through the four wins last week, Jensen led BYU with a .667 batting average, tallying 12 RBIs, eight runs and three home runs. She had a .786 on-base percentage in the four games after being walked five times in addition to her 6-of-9 hitting.
