BYU Women’s Soccer ran rampant over Pepperdine on Wednesday night in Provo, scoring five as they returned to their winning ways with a 5-1 victory.
The Cougars donned their blackout kits for the first time this season, and looked sharp in their play as well. It didn’t take long for the Cougars to take the lead, with Freshman SaraJayne Affleck scoring the opener in the 4th minute off a cross from Cameron Tucker.
The Cougars continued their high pressure, and it paid off with another goal in the 12th minute. Elise Flake picked up the ball and beat her defender, poking a shot past the goalkeeper.
