COLUMBIA, S.C. — BYU's NCAA tournament run ended in the Sweet 16 on Saturday night, with the Cougars falling 1-0 against top seed South Carolina at Stone Stadium.
"Tonight was a great game in a great college soccer environment," BYU head coach Jennifer Rockwood said. "South Carolina is a great team. It's tough. This is the best team I've ever coached, and it's tough to end the season this way."
For BYU, it was the fifth trip in program history to the third round of the tournament, and the third time the Cougars' tournament ended there.
