PROVO — Listening to advice from BYU's all-time leading rusher is never a bad idea.
That was the attitude of Algernon Brown leading up to his breakout performance during BYU's 45-38 win over East Carolina on Saturday. Brown rushed for a career-best 134 yards and three touchdowns on 24 attempts while catching two passes for 20 yards and another touchdown.
Afterward, Brown shared a big reason for Saturday's success.
“The biggest thing for me this week that helped me out a lot was me and Francis (Bernard) met with Harvey Unga,” Brown said. “And he just laid it on us.
