BYU’s defense made enough stops and Tyler Allgeier wore down Washington State’s defense as BYU won 21-19 Saturday afternoon in Pullman.
BYU got the ball back with over 4 minutes left and three Washington State timeouts, and BYU gave the ball to Allgeier to run out the clock and put the game away. Allgeier finished with 191 rushing yards on 32 carries and 2 touchdowns. Jaren Hall wasn’t spectacular, but he didn’t make mistakes and finished 15-20 for 143 yards. Neil Pau’u was BYU’s leading receiver with 70 yards on 6 catches. BYU had 389 total yards, with 242 of them coming on the ground.
