PROVO — With a resounding 51-28 victory at Utah State last Saturday, BYU capped the regular season on a strong note.
Not only did the Cougars win an in-state game and retake possession of the Old Wagon Wheel, but they also won more than eight games for the first time since 2011.
“It’s a very, very good season. Winning eight is hard to do,” said coach Bronco Mendenhall. “Winning nine is even harder and winning 10 is even harder than that. I love the consistency of our players and our program.”
“It’s huge,” wide receiver Mitch Mathews said of securing win No.
