GLENDALE, Arizona — While BYU coach Kalani Sitake made his debut as a head coach, and Ty Detmer and Ilaisa Tuiaki made their debuts as offensive and defensive coordinators, respectively, a handful of Cougar players received the first start of their careers Saturday night as BYU took on Arizona.
Among them were true freshman cornerback Troy Warner and senior offensive lineman Parker Dawe.
For Dawe, who was a walk-on before receiving a scholarship over the summer, starting was a well-earned honor.
