SALT LAKE CITY — Mark Pope has his coaching staff assembled.
BYU announced Wednesday that Pope, recently named the Cougars' new men’s basketball coach, will have Cody Fueger, Chris Burgess and Nick Robinson as his assistants.
Fueger and Burgess, a former player at Duke at Utah, come to BYU from Utah Valley, where they were assistants under Pope. Robinson was an assistant at Seattle the past two years and was the head coach at Southern Utah from 2012-16.
“I couldn’t be more excited about having put together this staff,” Pope said in a statement. “This group is so capable and they check every box that I require of my assistant coaches: they’re loyal, they’re exceptionally competent at player development on the court and relationship building off, they’re 24/7 guys and they all have ambitions of growing in this profession and becoming head coaches.
