PROVO — Momentum certainly is a great thing, and the BYU men’s volleyball team seems to have it of late. Coming off an excellent California road trip that saw the Cougars take down a ranked Stanford Cardinal team twice, BYU returned home and faced off against Cal Baptist Friday night at Smith Fieldhouse.
The third-ranked team in the nation didn’t disappoint an announced crowd of 4,142, as the Cougars defeated the Lancers in four sets 25-16, 25-17, 30-28 and 25-15.
The return to Utah did little, if anything, to dampen the Cougars' recent hot streak. Led by the singular effort of senior Jake Langlois, as well as excellent performances by Brenden Sander and Tim Dobbert, BYU had little trouble with Cal Baptist.
