The spring and summer of elite play for BYU Men’s Golf has continued, even with the college season over.
This week, three Cougar golfers qualified for next month’s US Amateur Championship, the biggest amateur tournament in the nation.
Rhett Rasmussen automatically qualified for the championship after qualifying for last month’s US Open. He finished that major at 14-over, the seventh best score for an amateur golfer in the tournament.
All of the amateurs that qualified for the US Open automatically receive spots in the US Amateur, so his ticked has been punched for a while.
