PROVO — After incurring another tough loss on the road, the BYU men's basketball team returns home for two winnable matchups right before a Christmas break, and right before West Coast Conference play.
The Cougars dropped to 7-4 on the season after Saturday's 75-73 loss to Illinois at the United Center in Chicago. The loss featured a slow start by the Cougars along with scant and inconsistent contributions from the bench, although sophomore center Eric Mika again proved highly efficient — scoring 25 points on 9-12 shooting from the field while hitting eight of nine free throw attempts.
