BYU leads Wyoming 17-7 after three quarters in the Poinsettia Bowl

SAN DIEGO — BYU leads Wyoming 17-7 going into the third quarter in a rainy and sloppy Poinsettia Bowl.

Tanner Mangum threw for one pass and ran for another, although the passing TD was pretty lucky.

Jamaal Williams ran for 136 yards, breaking a school record for 100-yard games.

The Cowboys have been hampered by special teams mistakes. BYU scored first after Wyoming punter Ethan Wood dropped the snap at the Cowboys' 3-yard line.

Mangum ran the ball in two plays later after dropping back to pass. He has completed 3 of 8 passes for 19 yards.
