It was only a matter of time, but BYU junior QB Zach Wilson made it official Friday afternoon by announcing that he has declared early for the NFL Draft.
Zach Wilson had a prolific season, finishing with 3,692 yards, 33 passing TDs, 3 interceptions and a BYU record 73.5% completion percentage. He also ran for 254 yards and 10 touchdowns. He finished 8th in Heisman Trophy voting.
Wilson’s rise this year in ways mirrored 2020 number one overall pick Joe Burrow. Wilson wasn’t considered a NFL Draft pick before this season, but his downfield accuracy, mobility, and overall arm talent skyrocketed him up draft boards.
