PROVO — Not long after BYU crushed Coppin State 96-59 Thursday night at the Marriott Center, coach Dave Rose looked ahead to the next game.
“That’s a good win for us,” Rose said. “We have a big challenge on Saturday.” The Cougars host Coastal Carolina Saturday (7:30 p.m., MST, BYUtv).
The Chanticleers have gone to the NCAA tournament the past two seasons and are led by veteran coach Cliff Ellis.
Ellis has 714 career victories at South Alabama, Clemson, Auburn and Coastal Carolina, ranking him 20th on the list of all-time career coaching victories in the history of Division I basketball.
