BYU Head Coach Kalani Sitake talks QB situation, UNLV and more in weekly presser

BYU Head Coach Kalani Sitake addressed the media Monday morning in his weekly presser. With Tanner Mangum out for the season due to an achilles injury, speculation and questions about the QB situation for the rest of the season were the main topic.

Below are some of the highlights from the press conference.

Quarterback Situation

When asked about the QB situation, Kalani said that there would be an “open competition” between Beau Hoge, Joe Critchlow, and Kody Wilstead to be BYU’s starter. Kalani mentioned Hoge and Critchlow initially, then threw in Wilstead’s name as a possibility.
