BYU Hangs on Versus USF to Move to 4-0

BYU scored TDs on its first three possession to jump out to a 21-0 lead, but BYU couldn’t stop USF in the second half as BYU held on to win 35-27 versus USF Saturday night in Provo.

Jaren Hall was out for BYU with upper body injuries and Baylor Romney filled in nicely with 305 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. Wideouts Gunner Romney and Puka Nacua each went over 100 yards receiving.

BYU’s offense had a good night but BYU’s defense struggled to get off the field, particularly in the second half. BYU went into the game short handed with multiple defensive starters out and USF controlled the clock and took advantage of BYU’s attrition.
