BYU guard Jesse Wade entered the NCAA transfer portal Wednesday afternoon.
The reserve guard had knee injuries and issues during his time at BYU that ultimately derailed his stay in Provo. Wade was Utah’s Mr Basketball as a high school senior in 2014-2015 where he committed to Gonzaga before his mission. After a year in Spokane, Wade redshirted a in 2018-2019 due to NCAA transfer rules and sat out the 2019-2020 season due to knee issues. Wade played in 9 games this season and scored 9 points on the year. Wade came to BYU as a scholarship player but was a walk on this past season.
