PROVO — While BYU's offense has largely stumbled out of the game to start the 2016 season, especially in the Cougars' 17-14 loss to UCLA in the home opener Saturday, the team's defense is proving it can stand up to the competition.
BYU can thank Butch Pau'u for a lot of that.
The sophomore starting linebacker is simply making plays for the Cougars, and the BYU crowd had its chance to witness him in action firsthand in the home opener Saturday against the Bruins. He was one of the bright spots in an otherwise frustrating night.
