PASADENA, Calif. — As BYU and UCLA headed to their respective locker rooms at halftime Saturday, moments after the Cougars intercepted Bruins quarterback Josh Rosen for the third time on the night, there was no denying the cheer emanating loudest from the crowd at the Rose Bowl.
"B-Y-U, B-Y-U."
While a valiant effort on the field came up short in the Cougars' 24-23 loss to UCLA, they were well-represented in the stands Saturday night as thousands came from near and far to watch BYU take on the Bruins.
"There's always a good, solid fan base in Southern California, and we're excited to be here," said Adam Christofferson, of Valencia, California.
