BYU football recruiting: Trevion Greene fits the measurables sought by Cougar coaches

HAYWARD, Calif. — BYU assistant head coach Ed Lamb has given the blueprint several times since arriving at BYU a little over a year ago, and new cornerback commit Trevion Greene matches up with it.

Lamb saw good success, while head coach at Southern Utah, from a focus on bringing in defensive back recruits with the right measurables. He believes that the right measurables and attitude can be developed into standout players, regardless of how a prospect may be regarded by other programs or even by how they've performed on the field of play.

“You can then work from (a kid's measurables), and if a kid’s good in the classroom, he’s generally responsive to coaching, and you can work with that,” Lamb said in an interview back in September.
