BYU football recruiting: Per report, ATH Jackson McChesney is Cougars' first 2017 commit

The Cougars boast several commits for their 2016 recruiting class, but that doesn't mean they aren't looking even further ahead. Now, BYU has its first commit of the 2017 class, according to ESPN 960 host Ben Criddle:

McChesney is a 5-foot-11, 177-pound athlete who preps at Lone Peak High School (Utah). McChesney plays running back and safety for the Knights, but carries an elite athleticism that could put him nearly anywhere on the field.
