BYU football recruiting: OL Jaren Kump becomes the Cougars’ sixth 2018 prospect to commit

Jaren Kump, a offensive tackle/defensive end prospect out of Herriman High School in Herriman, Utah committed to the Cougars shortly after receiving an offer from coach Kalani Sitake today. Kump’s commitment brings the total number of prospects committed to BYU for 2018 up to six.

As a tri-sport athlete, Jaren plays center on the basketball team, offensive tackle and defensive end on the football team and throws around the shot put in track and field. In addition to being a member of Herriman’s 5A state champion team on the gridiron last Fall, he also placed 7th in the shot put at the state track & field finals this past May.
