BYU Football is oversaturated in one position, the quarterback. Head Coach Kalani Sitake and Jeff Grimes have both said that the more quarterbacks that they have on their roster the better. Part of that may be an after affect of two seasons ago when Tanner Mangum, Beau Hoge and Koy Detmer Jr all needed replacements and freshman Joe Critchlow and Austin Kafentzis were asked to run the offense which required the coaches to go down as far as the fifth stringer.
Currently, BYU Football has nine quarterbacks, but up to this point, it appears that only three quarterbacks are getting any snaps during practices not including starter Zach Wilson who is out with a shoulder injury.
