PROVO — Going into fall camp, wide receiver was expected to be among the most highly competitive position battles for BYU.
It’s played out that way. With a handful of newcomers showing potential in camp, there’s the possibility the receiving group could become a strength for Ty Detmer’s pro-style offense.
At tight end, though, there are still questions as to who will step into a starting role as the position.
"Putting the best 11 on the field at different times will be important to us, but we’ll definitely need a tight end," Cougar head coach Kalani Sitake said.
