PROVO — BYU put the finishing touches on its 2016 football schedule last week during the team's bye with most applauding the results. At a glance, the schedule appears to be the team's most ambitious to date with games slated against several top programs.
The first eight games appear particularly challenging with road games scheduled against Utah, Michigan State and Boise State, games played at neutral sites against West Virginia and Arizona, along with home dates versus UCLA, Toledo and Mississippi State.
While noting that most of the feedback regarding the scheduling has been positive, Cougar coach Bronco Mendenhall told the media on Monday that one of his close associates doesn't exactly approve.
