BYU football notebook: Mangum, Koroma, Warner, Pau'u named team captains

PROVO — BYU head coach Kalani Sitake announced Friday that the Cougars' 2017 team captains, as voted on by their teammates, will be quarterback Tanner Mangum and center Tejan Koroma on offense, with linebackers Fred Warner and Butch Pau'u on defense.

Koroma and Warner are seniors, while Mangum and Pau'u are juniors.

“I’m big on players running the team and having a say in a lot of different things. They’ll be meeting with me quite a bit and I’ll be meeting with the leadership council," the coach said. "They’ll have a voice.
