PROVO — A lot of us have been there. You jump on the scale, expecting to weigh a certain amount, but become incredulous as to how much weight you've actually gained after a period of time.
Turns out BYU freshman defensive lineman Khyiris Tonga has been there also. Upon returning home from his two-year LDS mission service to Kansas, he noted a much higher number than the 240 pounds he weighed in high school.
"I didn't really feel like I was that much bigger than when I played in high school, so yeah, it was really surprising," Tonga, who now weighs 340, said with a laugh.
