PROVO — BYU had to play without several starters and key contributors against UConn on Friday due to injuries incurred during last week's loss against Michigan. Most notable were the absence of starting inside linebacker, and part-time running back, Harvey Langi along with starting right guard, Kyle Johnson and running back Adam Hine.
Langi entered the game second on the team in total tackles (27) and first in sacks (4) while Johnson had been a mainstay on the offensive line since the start of last season. Replacing Langi in the lineup was junior Austin Heder with Tuni Kanuch filling in for Johnson.
